If we have asked for a deposit, this explains why.
We have people that book in advance, then cancel last minute after we are turning people away.
We experimented with a deposit policy for Christmas 2022 and while it was not perfect, it ensured that we were full with clients that actually wanted the space.
In general we will ask for deposits for new clients and those with previous cancellations who have not paid a cancellation fee.
The following periods are examples of when we will ask for a deposit.
Busy weekends, Holiday weekends, March Break, Christmas/New Year period.
How it works
- Deposits are non refundable.
- If you have paid a deposit and cancel before we are full or turning people away, we will give you a credit towards a future stay.
- If you have paid a deposit and cancel after we are turning people away or after we are full, you lose the deposit.
- Most weekend stays we will ask for $50. For Christmas, New Years it is $100.
- We will give you 24 hours to pay the deposit requested, after that we will forfeit the reservation request.
Deposits can be sent via e-transfer to info@tidogresort.com
